Randy McCullum
Principal, Critical Current Systems
Randy McCullum is the founding Principal of Critical Current Systems, bringing over 29 years of experience in the electrical industry. A proven leader in the field, Randy focuses strongly on design-build construction, playing a pivotal role in managing large-scale, fast-paced projects nationwide. His expertise ensures that every project is delivered with craftsmanship, performance, and accountability, consistently exceeding expectations.
Safety is a top priority, and Randy holds every installation to the highest standards. He and his team provide a very hands-on approach to problem-solving and aim to provide prompt, safe, and accurate execution of installations, with a solid track record of delivering projects ahead of schedule and under budget. Randy’s experience of starting in the field and working into a management position is evident and highly respected when you speak to prior clients and his employees in the field.
Based in Indiana and operating nationwide, Randy continues to push the standard for excellence in electrical construction as an Indiana-based electrical contractor that also works nationwide. Most recently, Randy was the Director of Electrical at GEMCO Construction, and before that, he served as the General Superintendent at InPwr Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana. Zach Grounds
Principal, Critical Current Systems
Zach Grounds serves as the founding principal of Critical Current Systems, a nationally operating design-build electrical contractor specializing in cold storage and mission-critical facilities. Zach brings over 20 years of industry experience, combining technical expertise with strategic leadership to deliver highly responsive, customer-driven electrical solutions.
A licensed master electrician in several states, Zach is known for his hands-on approach, consistently being present on jobsites and in critical design meetings. His deep understanding of complex and fast-paced projects makes him an invaluable asset to his customers. He has led successful electrical installations for major clients, including Smithfield, Americold, IWI, Lineage, SK Foods, and Tyson, consistently delivering on aggressive timelines and budgets.
Zach leads with a strong focus on customer needs, rapid delivery, and honest and reliable communication—positioning Critical Current Systems as a trusted partner for fast-paced, high-stakes construction projects. Headquartered in Indiana and serving clients across the country, Zach consistently champions excellence, innovation, and performance throughout every stage of project execution.
Most recently, Zach was a Senior Project Manager at GEMCO Construction. Zach resides in New Castle, Indiana, with his wife and three children. When he isn’t working or parenting, you can find him on any local golf course. You can also email him here.
